Q: What is the best way to get around whislt in the islands of the Azores?
A: That depends on the Island, and your style of travel. In our travels we perfer to use local transport but on The Islands of the Azores, unless you have unlimited time it is generally not possible as the transport is geared to the locals and not the tourist.
So that leaves Taxi's, car hire, walking, cycling, scootering or for the adventurous hitch-hiking.

Most will want to Hire a car at some stage whislt in The Azores. The Main thing to note is that it is VERY IMPORTANT to hire your car before you travel.
